Wall sculpture - Face with a red flower

Ceramic wall sculpture from the series “Crying Flowers.”
A face resembling a mask is embedded within an organic floral form. A stem emerges from the mouth, curving across the surface and forming a closed line of movement. A bud replaces one of the eyes, shifting familiar anatomy and transforming the image into a hybrid, mutable structure.

The work continues the theme of merging human and natural elements: botanical forms do not illustrate but redefine the structure of the face. The composition is built through the interplay of rhythmic line, volume, and the contrast between the smooth base and protruding elements.

The sculpture is entirely hand-built from grey clay with a natural sandy texture. The volumetric elements—the flower, stem, and drops—are painted and glazed, enhancing their plastic presence and setting them apart from the matte surface
