This painting is a mixed media illustration on paper. I combine watercolor, gouache, colored pencils and acrylic markers. The combination of different materials allows you to achieve an interesting, expressive artistic effect. Transparent watercolor contrasts with dense gouache stains, and colored pencils enrich the painting with texture. The fantastic plot of the picture was invented by me, but it is very reminiscent of an illustration from some fairy tale. This is also a kind of mix of different stories and fairy tales that I read as a child. Mermaids who play, chase or try to catch up with a goldfish on which a naked, smug prince sits...
